Tiger Woods had a brilliant start to his Friday but struggled on the way back.
Woods’ second day of the 2023 Hero World Challenge in Albany, Bahamas, got off to an amazing start. He birdied his first two golf holes and was 4 under through 7 and the turn. He struggled throughout the day, similar to his opening round on Thursday. Woods shot a 2-under-70 on Friday at the TGR Foundation’s unofficial tournament, five shots better than Thursday.
Woods stated, “It’s definitely better than yesterday.” “I was more committed today than yesterday.” The round was definitely better. I made some mistakes, but overall it was much better. The middle of the round and the start were better. I missed two putts that I thought would keep the round moving towards the end and unfortunately, it kind of stalled a bit. “Certainly better than yesterday.”
Woods made bogey on the par-4 thirteenth after hitting a three-putt from a distance of 13 feet. Woods made bogey on the par-5 15th after his birdie attempt rolled into a bunker.

On the par-4 16, his approach shot was short and he couldn’t get up and go down. This marked his third bogey out of four holes.
He saved the day with a long putt for a birdie on the par-3 hole at the 17th, giving him some momentum going into the weekend.
