The skinny: With the new version of TruFeel, Titleist has updated the core to provide more distance and spin on the green.
The Deep Dive Around Titleist’s offices in Fairhaven Massachusetts, golf ball designers and engineers have a saying that goes: “A ball must earn the script.” This script is the flowing Titleist Logo.
Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls, which cost around $50 per dozen on average, achieve this by providing elite distances off the tee as well as spin around the green. Titleist balls that cost half as much still have to perform and be the best Titleist ball they can make in this price range.
Titleist TruFeel replaced the DT TruSoft in September 2019. The 2022 version was updated and is now updated for 2024.

Titleist has developed a new core for the latest version of TruFeel, which they call TruTouch. It is slightly smaller than in the previous TruFeel balls, but it still helps golfers to generate more ball speeds for good distances off the tee.
Titleist was able to increase the thickness of the TruFlex Cover, which is a blend between ionomer polymers and softening ones. The cover is softer and can grab the grooves on wedges and short-irons easier. This should allow the 2024 TruFeel to give players better greenside control and spin.
Titleist also gave TruFeel a dimple pattern with an aerodynamic cover that creates a low and penetrating flight of the ball for golfers who have moderate swing speeds. Cover design will also allow golfers with excessive spin to hit longer, straighter shots.
