Titleist announced Tuesday that the new Scotty Cameron “Super Select” putters will be available in 2023. The release of 10 new Super Select models will occur in two waves.
- Six new Scotty Cameron Super Select models are available in stores beginning March 17, 2023 (Newport Plus, Newport 2 Plus Newport 2 Plus Newport 2.5 Plus and Squareback 2)
- On May 19, 2023, four new Scotty Cameron Super Select models (Super Select Fastback 1.5 and Del Mar, as well as the new GOLO 6/6 and GOLO6.5) will be in stores.
Titleist claims that the new Super Select 2023 putters are more advanced than Scotty Cameron’s prior “Special Select” putters. They have new blade designs and mid-mallet models, redesigned neck styles, refined shapes and weight distribution. Scotty Cameron works closely with Tour professionals every week, so there have been many changes to the lineup since the 2020 release.
There are four main changes that you will see in the Super Select 2023 putter group:
- “Plus” models: Although they look similar to traditional blade-style putters like the Newport Plus, Newport 2 Plus, and Newport 2.5 Plus, these models are made with larger dimensions to promote mallet-like forgiveness.
- Dual-milling process – Scotty Cameron now uses a dual-milled process. This is the same process he used on Tour Prototypes. Here’s how it works: Titleist explains that after a deep-milled run of the mill across the putter’s face, a second pass is made to level the face milling. This creates a flatter, more consistent surface for ball to contact the putter’s face.
- I-Beam hosels: Eight new models, apart from Del Mar and GOLO 6, feature a new hosel that reduces weight in the neck. The putter’s weight was then moved into the toe- and heel sections of the heads for increased forgiveness.
- Weight configuration The multimaterial putters (303 stainless body and 6061 aluminum sole plates of aircraft grade) have soles that weigh in at either stainless steel or Tungsten. This allows Scotty Cameron to optimize the weight distribution for each model.

The name Super Select just works with the new putters. Since I was a young designer, every line is a learning experience. There is always a better way. I make every effort to improve the performance of players to increase their confidence and hopefully lead to greater success.
The 2023 Super Select family is anchored by the new ‘Plus” models. I first introduced them on Tour last year and then limited-released them to show off the higher-MOI blade design. We now have three new Plus’ options for some of our most popular designs. In a new size, I have also brought back the GOLO name & shape. Our familiar models, such as the Newport, Newport 2, Squareback 2 and Fastback 1.5, all feature dual-milling. This gives you a great feeling off the face. It combines the feel of an ultra-deep mill with the consistency of a mid-mill across the face. Inspired by tour professional putters, I created new I-beam necks as well as cosmetic improvements to the finish and graphics. I have tried everything to make these Super Select putters live up .”
The new Scotty Cameron Super-Select putters will retail for $449 each (MAP; Minimum Advertised price). They also come with two weight options. The blade-style putters have a Pistolini grip while the mid-mallets have a larger Pistolero Plus grip.
Titleist describes Super Select’s aesthetics as follows:
Scotty’s silver-mist process is used to give the new 2023 Super Select stainlesssteel putter heads a radiant, almost permanent, and glare-resistant appearance. 6061 aluminum components of aircraft grade have been misted and anodized with a bright, clear aluminum finish. Scotty’s three-dot motif continues to the back cavities, where unpainted raw circles are milled into stainless steel. Except for the soles, where Scotty Cameron’s ‘+’ symbols are on Plus models, the engravings and sight lines have been painted asphalt gray. However, the cherry red translucent paint em> is used to accent the soles.
