Romo will also play in a Pro-Am on the 27th of June at Metamora Fields, before the All-Pro Tour’s four-day event begins on Sunday 28th June. The Metamora fields event is part of a week-long celebration of concerts, drones and pro golf. There are also celebrities involved.

Matt Rogers, Metamora Fields’ general manager, said: “I’ve wanted to bring it to town ever since we bought Weaver Ridge.” After I finished the renovations at Weaver Ridge, and after the pandemic was over, I started putting on events at Metamora Fields for a charity. “Great golf and a good cause come together.”

On the morning of Saturday, June 27, Romo will be visiting Children’s Hospital Peoria. Then the quarterback/broadcaster/golfer will tee off in the Pro-Am at Metamora Fields at 1 p.m.

Romo is likely to accept the invitation for celebrities and golfers who will be attending the Pro-Am on June 27th at Metamora Fields.

On Wednesday, he will compete in the four-day All Pro Tour.

Rogers stated that this will be only the third time Tony plays in the All-Pro Tour. “He played previously in 2018 and 2020.”

Concerts and drones

Metamora Fields is hosting the first two days of Pro-Am on Monday, 26th June. On Monday night there will be a drone light show, 200 drones in a sky-high formation.

The driving range at Metamora Fields will host concerts by Donny Lee, Meghan Patrick and Mitchell Tenpenny on Tuesday, June 27. Tickets are available online for $29.99 through USA Concerts and Events.

In mid-November 2022, the All-Pro Tour contacted Rogers with an interest in creating a stop on the course. He said that the turnaround was incredibly quick and a two year deal resulted. Rogers has already begun planning for the biggest and best week in 2024.

Rogers stated that the Rings (Metamora Fields’ owners) and Brinkmans constructed the course in hopes of bringing an international facility to central Illinois, which would be beneficial to the community. This event will bring national attention to the community, and hopefully shine a light on central Illinois.

This will also be an excellent opportunity to bring attention to OSF Healthcare Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and the wonderful things that they do for children.

All proceeds will go to the local children’s hospital, and all money raised will remain in the area.

The ATP tournament includes a purse of approximately $162,000, with $30,000 going to the winner.

Rogers stated that the tournament would be the largest professional golf event ever held in the Peoria region. Rogers said, “It has been a big task to put this together. But we are excited and proud of what’s coming to the area.”
