It’s hard to believe, but there are only six weeks left until the FedEx Cup Playoffs 2023.
The top 70 players from the FedEx Cup standings after the Wyndham Championship will qualify for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, which takes place on August 10-13. The top 50 players will advance to the BMW Championship, which will take place from August 17-20. Finally, the top 30 players will be able to punch their tickets for the Tour Championship season finale (Aug. 24-27).
The total bonus pool this year for the FedEx Cup Playoffs amounts to a staggering $75 million.
The final event of the regular-season is now behind us. Here’s a list of players that are in or out of the FedEx Cup playoffs for this year (if the season ended today).
FedEx St. Jude Championship

Players still have time to move but the competition is getting tighter both inside and outside of the bubble. The difference between 60 and 80 is just 101 points.
Justin Thomas (66), who has been playing golf for over a decade, is now in the top 70. However, he’s still a long way from the top: Shane Lowry (74) Adam Scott (76), Joel Dahmen (81) and Billy Horschel (109) are all on the outside.
BMW Championship
Date: Aug. 17-20
Location: Olympia Fields Country Club, Olympia Fields, Illinois
The top 40 drivers have a significant lead going into the second round of the three-event championship, while the BMW Championship bubble is becoming more crowded.
Hideki Matsuyama (52), if the season ended today would be added to the list Thomas and Co. that wouldn’t qualify. Keep an eye out for rising star Cameron Young (48), and Matt Kuchar, a fan favorite (50).
Tour Championship

Location: East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta
It’s almost silly to think so far ahead. But let’s enjoy a fun exercise.
Russell Henley is the last player in the Tour Championship field. The 11 players behind him are separated by a little over 200 points. Five of the 30 players who are currently qualified will be playing their first event in the Tour Championship if they stay inside the cut-line: Kurt Kitayama. Denny McCarthy. Taylor Moore. Seamus Power. Nick Taylor.
Jordan Spieth (26) is still in the line. Matt Fitzpatrick (29), Collin Morikawa (32) and Tommy Fleetwood (31) are just outside.
The top two are Scottie and Jon Rahm, who have 1,162 more points between them than the rest of the pack. Scheffler is ranked No. 2 behind Max Homa. Max Homa. Wyndham Clark, Keegan Brad and Rory McIlroy are the other two-time winners of this season.
The standings are sure to change over the next few weeks. There is still a lot of golf left to play. Don’t be shocked if you see some new faces in the playoffs this year.
