Tiger Woods split from Nike after 27 years of partnership on Monday. The golfing world is now speculating about who Woods will be partnering with next.
Nike said, “We have watched Tiger redefine the sport of Golf, and break barriers in all sports, throughout our partnership.” “We watched Tiger set records, challenge conventional thought and inspire generations around the world. We’re grateful to have been part of this. We wish him all the best for the future.”
It was widely assumed that this partnership would end, but Topgolf threw in another twist. The golf entertainment brand posted a job description and role on LinkedIn, which seemed oddly specific to a single person.
Woods may be the only one who has the qualifications to justify the official position. Topgolf has a business relationship with Callaway, while Woods has a business relationship with Popstroke and TaylorMade. The popular entertainment venue does not appear to let conflicting interests interfere with a good time.
