Tyrrell Hatton’s Augusta warmup is over. He is the first big name to be left out of the Valero Texas open.

SAN ANTONIO — The organizers of the Valero Texas open can’t be happy with the outcome of the top players who have traveled to Alamo City in the past few years to perfect their game for the Masters.

Rory McIlroy visited TPC San Antonio in 2022 to end his Augusta drought. After missing the cut, he left early.

Tyrrell Hatton attempted the same move this year. He stated on Tuesday that while he was pleased with the start of his season, he felt that adding this tournament could be the springboard for better results at the first major.

Unfortunately, Hatton’s game plan didn’t work as well as McIlroy’s the year before.

The Brit had six bogeys during a second-round 75 that was sloppy. He was the most prominent player to be sent packing.

The cutline is made up of the top 65 players and those tied at the end. This number was settled at even par. Here are the names that fell short of the cutlist following two rounds at Oaks Course.
