Valspar Championship: Adam Schenk’s 8-month-old wife flew in Sunday morning with her husband to be there for the 54-hole leader.

Kourtney Schenk didn’t want to miss Adam’s first PGA Tour title at Valspar Championship.

She said Adam, the 54-hole leader in the event, was “really, really important” after she played in the final group at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course. You can’t miss such things.

Kourtney is eight-months pregnant, and the couple are expecting their first child. Adam is playing in his 10th th event in a row on PGA Tour to earn as many FedEx Cup points as possible before their baby arrives.

Courtney will not be denied. Courtney was at home in Indiana, and her family spent Saturday making baby acknowledgments. She was so tired that she woke up at 2 am to get a flight to Tampa, Florida. Then, she drove to Palm Harbor to complete the round.

She said, “I’m here so, it’s great!”

Adam arrived at her hotel just as he was getting ready to leave for the course. Kourtney stated that Adam had made her breakfast. Wow!

Also impressive: Kourtney was interviewed by NBC’s Cara Banks on the course and stated, “I feel good so I decided walk 18”. Kourtney was asked by Banks if she thought Adam would be hunting for his first trophy. She replied, “Ofcourse, I did.”

Banks said, at the end of the interview: “You are a trooper Kourtney.”

Dan Hicks, NBC’s spokesman for the Schenks, said that “If you’re at home you can pull for them.”
