Making an eagle is one thing. Then there’s the eagle hole. Aditi Ashok’s Friday night in Los Angeles was a different story.
Ashok, who played the back nine in her second round at the 2023 JM Eagle LA Championship was faced with a third shot to the par-5 fifteenth hole of Wilshire Country Club.
She had to aim for the front pin and carry a stream in front of the green, but she dialed the distance exactly as the ball flew straight into the cup.
Golf Channel deserves credit for its camera angle. It’s fun to watch this from above.

Ashok told reporters on Thursday that this week she has been using a new putter to try and overcome recent problems.
She said, “I don’t think I could lean as much on my putting in the last three week.” “It is a similar blade. It’s lighter. It was just too heavy. I had to leave a lot of them short. “I have a lighter putter at home but it is in India. I went to Callaway, and they made the same Odyssey putter as I had. It was just lighter. That’s all the difference.”
By slamming the ball into the hole, you can eliminate any issues that may arise.
Ashok’s eagle followed two consecutive birdies. She went four under in three holes, bringing her total to nine under. This gave her a three-shot lead. The 25-year old is chasing her first LPGA championship.
