Max Homa was the first person to wear a microphone during CBS’s live coverageof Farmers Insurance Open. It was a big hit. Homa won and the week was even more memorable for him and his fans.
Keith Mitchell was the host of the microphone at the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
He said that “Homa killed” it last week as one of his first words.
Mitchell finished in fourth place, two shots behind the lead after three rounds of play on the Monterey Peninsula.
“Thank you guys for letting us come on. It was easy to say yes to Trevor and Nantz after Max’s heroics last week. He laughed and said, “Let’s just hope that what happened last week happens again this week.”
Mitchell chatted with Nantz and Immelman, Ian Baker Finch, Frank Nobilo, and Frank Nobilo.
Mitchell, after talking about his tee shot admitted that there is “never a poor stroll anywhere at Pebble,” and that he walks with his hands in the pockets as if he were truly out on a walk.

Mitchell was preparing for his second shot a few minutes later when he had a short chat with John Limanti, his caddie, who interrupted to give him a shot.
Mitchell praised Limanti and said that it was a nice play. “We threw some grass up several times. Just as I was about to pull my trigger, he put more grass up and. It might be possible for it to get out of bounds if you cross this green. That was a great call. The wind died after we took off four yards from the original distance.
“So that was a great, great calling from Johnnie that pulled me off like this.”
