Tiger Woods is not in the field this week’s Hero World Challenge in Albany in the Bahamas. However, he was still present on Tuesday and participated in the Hero Shot competition along with Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, and other big-name players.
Max Homa is one of them.
Homa and Woods were together in the first round of the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews this year. This was a dream come to Homa, who grew up idolizing Woods, the 15-time major champion.
Woods sat beside Thomas on Tuesday during the shootout, singing praises for Homa’s swing and while Thomas took a few shots at the 87-yard floating fairway.
Imagine Tiger swinging in your swing. It’s possible to live the ultimate dream.

Homa said this about the video: “Yeah. I didn’t hear it, but it is crazy. He said that my swing was great and I was hitting it very well at The Open Championship. It was great to hear that. It’s likely that most guys have tried to learn something from Tiger’s swing over the years. So it was great to hear. It was great to beat him yesterday in the wedge thing, that felt really good.
