Michael Block, who made history at the PGA Championship by finishing in the top 15, was still making waves in Rochester a few days after the PGA Championship.
Block’s buzz has spread to the Dallas Metroplex where he will be making a surprise at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Block joined the field late after University of Texas’ Parker Coody withdrew. Parker Coody is the grandson of 1971 Masters champion Charles Coody.
Block, as he did in Oak Hill, endeared himself with the media by sharing stories about his journey. This included meeting sports royalty and rubbing shoulders with them.
Other PGA Tour players, too, have had a great time. The PGA Tour has been enjoying the ride as much as fans.
