There are hotels on the beach, shops, restaurants and entertainment galore, particularly at the bustling Kalakaua Avenue and the International Market Place. This is one of the busiest parts of the city.
Waikiki Beach refers to all the beaches along the south shore of Oahu. It begins on the Hilton Lagoon side in Waikiki and extends all the way up to the Diamond Head Crater. The beaches are alive with aquatic activity during the day. Surfers navigate between catamarans and canoes, while swimmers bump into each other. This is also a great place to watch people.
