All exempt members received ballots for the PGA Tour Player Advisory Council on Wednesday.
The PAC will consist of eight members elected by the PGA Tour membership and an additional eight players directors.
The PAC consults and advises the PGA Tour Policy Board and Commissioner Jay Monahan about issues affecting Tour. The PAC is also a feeder for future board members. As player directors finish their terms, the PAC chairman will be elected to fill the vacancies on the board.
Golfweek has reviewed a ballot that explains how PGA Tour players have been divided into five groups based upon their place on the FedEx Cup Fall Point List for 2022-23. The final two groups are made up of the top 10 players in the 2022-23 DP World Tour rankings, the top 30 on the Korn Ferry Tour point list and the top 5 from the 2023 PGA Tour Qualifying School. The first five groups also include any exempt players who did not qualify under these categories.
A PGA Tour representative confirmed that voting will end on January 12 at 5 p.m. ET. The Tour announced that it would announce the results of the tournament and who (usually three players) will run for PAC chairman in the following week.
