Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills quarterback, is playing at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tourney rather than in the National Football League’s Pro Bowl.
The Bills QB was invited to join the PGA Tour this week. It will be held in California from February 2-5.
Allen has been involved in the event since 2022.
Allen had already committed to the event and it was believed that he would withdraw from the 2023 Pro Bowl. Allen was forced to withdraw from the game after sustaining an elbow injury on Tuesday. Allen is a well-known golf fan, so it was difficult for him to attend a tournament.
Although Allen may not be at the level he desires, his competitive nature and work ethic will make Allen a great player on the golf course.
“I am not the greatest player in the world. I won’t tell you that. But when I can hit it, it’s going to be far, far away. It’s something I enjoy doing, however,” he stated in advance of the Pebble Beach event last year. “Outside of football, my favorite thing to do is to go out on the course and hit shots with the guys and have a great time.
I played a lot growing up. Every once in a while, my dad and mom would take us out. It wasn’t until college that I was really interested in it. This is where I discovered I love this job and I plan to continue it as much as possible.”
The Pro-Am will also feature other NFL players like:
