Ben Affleck will be directing and starring as Ben Affleck in “Air,” a film about how Michael Jordan’s family, and Nike executives transformed Jordan into a pioneering brand and sneaker.
Affleck portrays Phil Knight, former CEO of Nike.
Affleck asked Jordan for his blessing before he made the movie. It was not surprising that Jordan invited Affleck to The Grove XXIII in Hobe Sound (Florida).
Affleck stated that he met up with him and went out to meet him at The Hollywood Reporter. “I waited for him finish playing. I don’t golf myself. Because it is a way to eat up people’s lives.
“I see golf as meth. They may have more teeth than me, but I don’t think they ever get out of it. You will never see them again after they begin golfing.”
Viola Davis plays Jordan’s mother, while Matt Damon and Chris Tucker are playing Nike executives. Jason Bateman is Jason Bateman.
