Wild Dunes Resort, Isle of Palms in South Carolina, will invest over $8 million for the upgrade of both of its Tom Fazio designed golf layouts – the Links and Harbor Courses. The projects are expected to be completed by October 2024.
Rebuilding and resurfacing of all greens will be part of the work being done on the golf courses near Charleston. The renovations of the golf courses follow more than 150 million dollars in resort renovations, which included the addition of 153 rooms at the Sweetgrass Inn.
The 18 th is one of the most important points in the restoration of the Links Course. It has been reduced from a par 5, to a 3 due to coastal erosion problems. After years of improvements made to the property, with the guests and members’ best interests in mind, it was only natural that we enhance our golf offering. We are excited to deliver this enhanced offering by combining the Links Course with Tom Fazio’s original South Carolina jewel, the Harbor Course. This will create an exceptional coastal championship experience.
