WITB Time Machine – Patton Kizzire winning WITB at the 2018 Sony Open

Jan, 2024

In 2018, 17-under was the winning number. Patton Kizzire matched James Hahn in the Sony Open’s deciding playoff.

The Auburn University alumnus took six playoffs holes to defeat Hahn, who is of UC Berkley descent. Kizzire parred the par-3 hole with a two-putter. Hahn failed to make a par-worthy eight-footer. At the time, it was the longest playoff on the PGA Tour for more than five year.

Kizzire admitted that the victory was not pretty. “I was able get it done.”
