World No. Lilia Vu is on track to achieve something that no American has done in over a decade

Oct, 2023

Lilia Vu is poised to be the first American since Stacy Lewis to win the Rolex LPGA Award for Player of the Year in 2014. Prior to Lewis’s first win in 2012, the last American to hold the title was Beth Daniel in 1994.

Vu has a 21 point advantage over Celine Boutier with 154 total points as the LPGA season approaches its end. Lydia Ko, who won the POY Award last year with 180 points, is now in contention for this year’s award. A POY winner also receives an LPGA Hall of Fame Point.
