You can check the yardage book at Waialae Country Club, for the PGA Tour’s 2023 Sony Open in Hawaii

Jan, 2023

Waialae Country Club, Honolulu’s venue for the 2023 Sony Open in Hawaii was originally designed by Seth Raynor, a famed architect of golden era. It opened in 1927.

Waialae is a more flat test than the Kapalua Plantation Course, where the PGA Tour began its year. The course has only 10 feet elevation change and offers ocean views for those who want to stay on the mainland.

Multiple reconstructions have been done to the private course that runs alongside Kahala Beach. The majority of these were in the 1960s when a hotel was built. Over the years, the course was modified by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Desmond Muirhead, Rick Smith and Rick Smith. Tom Doak has been working to restore Raynor’s original designs in recent years.

This year, the layout will be 7,044 yards in length with a par 70. Note: For the Sony Open, the nines will be reversed to take full advantage of beautiful sunsets.

We can see the exact challenges that the pros face every week thanks to the yardage books created by StrackaLine, the creator of detailed yardagebooks for thousands of courses all over the globe. Below are the maps for each hole. Notable: These nines are listed below in the order they were played during the Tour event.
