Adam Schenk is GolfWRX’s new hero. He explains why he brings two bags of clubs with him to every event, and how he chooses which 14 clubs he will take to the first hole!

Andrew Tursky spoke with Schenk about PGATour.com’s Equipment Report. Below is an excerpt:
Schenk travels so much with extra clubs, he actually needs two golf bags.
Schenk stated, “I travel with more equipment than the average person.” It’s more fun to me than playing.
His golf bag is set up to take advantage of his shot-making ability. He keeps multiple drivers on hand for different conditions and courses.
Schenk said to GolfWRX.com, “I will do something different with each driver setup.” “Some of them are designed for a fade, others to draw. I can also use some for both.” Some are high, others low. Fitting the golf course. If I’m going to slice it, I will probably use a driver that has more loft so I can turn it a bit more .”
He doesn’t travel with that many clubs just for the sake of it. The pure pleasure of tinkering and strategizing is another reason.
