The Florida Gators golf team won the 2023 SEC Championship in St. Simon’s Island after a clutch putt by John DuBois.
The title was Florida’s SEC men’s championship golf title for the first time since 2011, and under J.C. Deacon’s leadership, who was hired by 2014.
Deacon: “I am so proud of our culture and the family that we are building.” This is for the Gator nation.”
DuBois, the individual SEC champion from last year, sank a 15-foot par-putt to win the match on the 18th hole. The Commodores were ranked No. The Commodores, who entered the weekend as the No.
DuBois stated, “I hit about six out of the hole and thought that ‘That has to go’.” “And it certainly did.” It was an awesome moment.
Florida’s win qualifies them for the NCAA Regionals, which will be held May 15-17. The Gators’ destination will be revealed on May 3, with the selection show live on Golf Channel.
