Recenty, GolfWRX.com podcast hosts ” Two Guy Talking Golf“, Brian Knudson, and Andrew Tursky, played a 3-Club Challenge on Rackham Golf Course at Huntington Woods in Michigan.
Tursky used only a 3-club bag as a scratch player, whereas Knudson used the entire bag.
Rules were easy: Rackham’s nine-hole back nine was the venue for a match play. Tursky gets a new club every time he makes a birdie or par. Tursky removes one club every time he makes a double-bogey, or worse.
Knudson had the choice of clubs for Tursky to use. He didn’t make it easy. Knudson gave Tursky a Ben Hogan Persimmon Driver with a Steel Shaft, a Ben Hogan Apex Blade 7-iron, with a G Loomis IMX boron shaft, and a Cleveland RTX ZipCore “Sip Groove” 52-degree promotional wedge with an ultra-light swing weight.
Watch the entire match (plus an 18th hole bonus of double or nothing!) The video is at the top of this page.
