Averee, Jason, and Gary Dovsek were to play against an Australian team led by Darcy Brereton a Royal Melbourne member who is a professional on the Handa PGA Tour of Australasia, and Henry Peters Owner of Under The Card. The match was as expected when a professional tour player is involved. These results were irrelevant because it was Royal Melbourne.
The East Course was the course we played today, a sister course to the West Course that is renowned for its world-class reputation. The East is ranked No. The East is ranked No. 11 in the Golfweek’s Best list for top courses in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Six of its holes, along with 12 from the west, are used to create Royal Melbourne’s Composite Course, which has been played in many high-level competitions including 16 Australian Opens, three Presidents Cups, and more.
Even though our American team lost the nine-hole game, it was still a great time. We kept swinging because we didn’t want to miss anything. The top-rated course is usually the one that gets the most attention in the media and on television. The East course at Royal Melbourne should not be missed.
