Peter Flory’s research has led to the famous Long Island layout first being recreated in a videogame and now fully coming to life at Sand Valley, Wisconsin.
Flory, a Chicago-based amateur golf historian, collected historical accounts and photos that led Tom Doak to rebuild the Lido with great detail. Recently, the layout was fully open to members. Guests of the popular resort can also score a tee time at certain times.
