Many of the holes were strategically altered by architects. The course is famous for its scenic setting on the Riviera Maya. The tee box heights have been changed, and fairways, bunkers and greens have also been elevated. A new island green is being added to the fourth hole and a new sloped green has been created for No. The size and slope of the green at No. 8 will be changed.

The improvements are made while preserving the unique character of El Camaleon. The new design aims to strike the right balance between maintaining the natural beauty of El Camaleon and adding new elements that will push amateurs and professional competition in 2024.

Golfweek’s Averee dovsek visited the course to take a closer view of the renovations.
